Default Skyfire 40 - Decent delta?

Hello,

I just picked up a Skyfire 40 at the LHS for a really great price. It was one of those deals that the price justified buying it for the wood alone . The shop was going to focus on ARFs, electrics and park fly planes - so the all the kits had to go.

I picked it up with the intent of using the wood for other projects, but once I opened the box and saw how fast it looked - I decided to build the delta and give it a shot.

Have any of you tried your hand at this delta? If so - any ideas for mods or 'kit bashing' this one?

Thanks,
TRP

Default Skyfire 40 - Decent delta?

Maybe this is not the correct place to post this thread - or - nobody has experience with this exact kit.

Any suggestions where I could re-post?

Thanks - trp

if this is the kit by 4-pi or something like it is the holy smoke kit and dave at radical r/c sells them. even though top flite discontinued the smoke someone thought it would be nice to re-kit it! i have both and the plans are exactly the same except for the name. it is one sweet and fast rocket with even a small 40 on board!---henry

Sweet! It is the old 4-pi ( or something like that )

I picked it up for $10.00 - unopened!

I have yet to start building it but when I do I will be sure to post my results.

Thanks for the info.

HICKS! - Man! There is a blast from the past! I sent you an e-mail. If you don't get it shoot me one at [email protected].

Ted
