Between my friend, Guido, and myself we have;
lil Shrike w/os.25+ pipe - 145mph
Outlaw w/ os.32+pipe - 150mph
Shrike w/ tower .46+ pipe - 175mph
Magnum w/ modified Webra .50+ pipe+ 9x7 - 180mph
Magnum w/ modified Webra .50+ pipe+ 8x9 - 200mph
Diamond Dust w/ modified MVVS Q500 +pipe 8x8 -200mph
Guido has a Diamond Dust w/ K&B 45 ducted fan motor+ pipe coming out in the next week or so, trying to raise the bar.
The point is that with these planes flying together you get so you can judge the speeds pretty good. What really screws me up is when another friend flys his full scale Ultimate by inverted at 200 knots, it looks like its doing 120mph because of the size.

Yes Joe I believe that Evan can tell the difference between180 and 200 mph. because is extended experience, dedication and unparalleled love for our sport.
You see Joe that 's all we do every single weekend (and this is not exaggeration)
Hey Even you did forget about a third shrike 40 that I have, with an MVVS 49 and pipe, APC 9x8 and spinning on the ground 17,600. (see pics)
This is a fast plane, but we don't know the final speed do to ailerons flutter right around 150-160 mph.
I did replace the ailerons and installed a stronger servo. I’ll try it this weekend.

Speeds claimed
How are you guys measuring the speeds of your planes? An FAI pylon racer with an engine turning 27-30,000 rpm does about 190. Seems to me your speeds claimed are a bit optimistic.

Diamond Dust clocked with radar gun, 200 flat 215 in a shallow dive, then all other speeds guesstimated from that...
Sorry about the other shrike Guido, your Diamond Dust going to be ready? I almost hope not since I'll be riding in the mountains, I'll give you a call later.....
