Default Magnum bites it.....

I was having a lot of fun with the Magnum but it crashed hard after losing radio contact. It only had about 15 flights and only 5 of those were with the 8x8 combo....

For the most part, the engine and the pipe look like they have survived a very hard crash. The pipe has one small dent near the middle and I was wondering if a small dent in the tune pipe will have "much" effect on overall performance. I was getting around 20,000 RPM with an 8x8.

I will most likely order another but I was wondering if anyone has put this engine pipe combo into any other planes?

Thanks.

The dent won't hurt you. Just turn the pipe so you don't see it... out of sight, out of mind...

As for other planes... you ran the 8x8... so you know what it does to a plane if it is sleek enough... so put it on any other sleek plane, for similar results...
Even a Quickie on a 9x6 or 9x7 prop and a re tuned pipe will haul...

Thanks Guys.

The difference between the 9x6 and 8x8 was incredible on the Magnum.

If your going by the fact that the site here in the us shows that its on backorder, don't trust it. I called there 2 weeks ago for mine even though the web site said on backorder, he said 'oh yea, I have a few in stock' and didn't seem to care that the web page wasn't up to date. So call and fine out before you dismiss it.

Kevin.

Thanks Kevin. I was going by what the US website said...I'm beginning to discover that this is a trend for many RC sites. The sites are always way behind!! Business must be good!
