60 size delta for fourth plane?
I found a 60 size delta I want to buy. just wondering how hard it woulod be to fly. Can they be flown slow enough for a fourth plane. The guy selling it says it is very stable and lands easy (what else would you expect him to say) just wanted an opinion from people that have flown them.

Couple of questions-
What were your first 3 planes?
What model is this delta? (Landing gear, engine size etc.)
I have only flown a Whiplash for reference---

Well here it is. Now i just have to figure out how to program the raido. I think Futaba went out of there way to make it hard! Anyway the plane looks like it was not flown a lot and the 61fx runs great. Should be a good match for my first delta. One more thing I am getting the stars off one by one. Not fun but they have to go.

RE: 60 size delta for fourth plane?
That's a Bruce Tharpe Delta Vortex. I built one a couple of years ago for a friend, put an OS 91FX on it for power. This delta is not really a fast flyer, just looks like it is. With the 91FX it does about 80 mph, in a dive maybe 90+. Slows down real good for landings, touch & goes are a lot of fun on this plane. Can fly almost like a trainer, you should have no problems with this as your fourth airplane. For the radio setup my buddy had a Futaba 6XA & I have Futaba 8UAFS. I wanted to get airbrakes on his radio without affecting the steering gear but coud'nt do it. On my 8UAFS I got the airbrakes working (both rudders deflected outwards) while still maintaining control of the steering gear. I think I used channel 5 for the steering along with a couple of mixes ( it's been awhile ). Here's a few pics, the covering is Ultracote, the black pinstripe is 1/4 in automotive pinstripe.
