Default TUNED PIPE FOR OS .40 VRP ENGINE

I am building a diamond dust and have aquired a .40 OS VRP engine. I was thinking of getting a MVVS .40 GRRS tuned pipe from morris hobbies. Since the rpm range of the engine is 19000 to 25000 I was thinking a ducted fan pipe would work. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Default RE: TUNED PIPE FOR OS .40 VRP ENGINE

Call pspec at the number I gave you in the props thread. See if Dave has a Nelson pipe he'll part with.

On the 46 VRDF, I tried a 7.5cc Macs pipe and was blowing plugs, having a hard time. He recommended the Nelson pipe, sure enough it became a lot easier to tune, no more blown plugs.

Macs on the left, Nelson on the right. I later polished the Nelson back to aluminum.

Mounted on the plane after polishing.
