The 100's are bored for 3/16" wire legs

The 700's are bored for 3/8" oleo struts

SNOOP,
I'M WORKING ON THE FUSELAGE AND FINISHED THE WINGS. MY QUESTION IS AFTER I INSTALLED THE WINGS AND THEN SLID IN THE STAB, THE STAB APPEARS TO HAVE ABOUT -2 TO -3 DEGREES OF INCEDENCE IN RELATION TO THE WINGS. IS THIS CORRECT?
I LOANED MY INCEDENCE UNIT TO A FRIEND

THANKS

MIKE

Hi Picard1

I am about the same point as you in my build and see the same as you with the stab ---it looks to be about -2 to -3 and would think that this may off set the engine mount which looks to be at about -2 down thrust to keep the shape of the nose.

Snoop maybe you can give us the official word on the the stab and down thrust of the engine

Your right. I wouldn't be surprised if you need down trim on the elevators for level flight.

I took an inventory of my remaining parts today and I ran across to formers marked B1, B2. Since I have lost my cd, I've been building the su-27 from the online manual. I have'nt been able to find any reference to these formers. HELP!!!

Also, if anyone could burn a copy and send it to me I would be happy to reimburse your expenses

thanks

B1 and B2 are used to build the tail boom box on the aft end between the exhaust pipes.

You know Snoop I think I will leave the Tail stinger off when I finish covering.... if it looks good that way then I will leave it off ...If not I can always add it on after ...then knock it off when I land nose high (grin)

Hey Snoop !! can you give me the dimensions for that stand that you use to hold the SU? If you are to improve on the stand for the SU what would you do? The stand looks like it will hold my MIG as well. oh and a parts list would be great

Thanks

You can't judge the engine angle of this plane like this because of the "Cobra" shaped fuse.... it just looks weird sitting on the board like that.

If you want to be sure, dig out your incidence meter...

Its just simple 1 inch PVC with appropriate connections. its in a "X" pattern with a couple long pieces to connect each end. There is one trick to it though. Don't make it a perfect X. If you make the bottome side a bit longer, it automaticall makes it a bit wider. This is good so that the plane does not tip ove on its side so easy. I use that little thing on every plane I have from my little ones up to the WM GS P51.

Thanks Snoop ... I am going to make one this weekend being that I found out that my retracts are going to be another 2 1/2 weeks ... seems that Spring Air had some hard times with mother nature and are behind in manufacturing them.
