Default What's in YOUR Speed-Plane stable, and what do you want to ADD to it?

I was just curious what everybody has hanging in there shop and this is a good time for some of y'all to show-off your projects if you'd like--- Also, what projects do you want to add to your speed line-up?

I will start but my stuff is pretty basic:
Have-
Patriot's one with an OS-50SX, the other with a Webra-50GT (Jett-50 is needin repair)
Whiplash w/OS-46FX-Tower Muffler
Cermark F-20, Tower-75, turns 10x10 apc 14K
Even my Zen-50 with my Rossi-60 full-pipe that was modified by Chuck Auger is faster than most planes at our field [X(]

Want-
Whiplash, Jett FIRE-50
Magnum, West-50 combo.
Viper/Predator with my Rossi-45

Thanks for reading!

........I'm running slightly behind....I'll have this new Sonic 500 up in a
couple weeks. I wanna build a new Killer Kaos this winter....Tower .75, just
a new "goofer"....the old Super Kaos is getting tired. It's on the 4th engine.

I'd like to put up the DC F-20 as well....the old Cermark has hit the wall.
I spent all summer re-doing my old Model A Ford....[sm=surprised.gif]....(good)
That tan stripe....just over the roof, is El Mirage Dry Lake....where the Big Boys play.

Default RE: What's in YOUR Speed-Plane stable, and what do you want to ADD to it?

Currently I have

Whiplash w/west50VI and custom header (for sale, Razor, you should buy this, everything you want in your whip/jett 50 combo but faster )

Magnum west50VI combo

Shrike 40 / LEO46 (not real fast, about 140 tops)

Great Planes Little Toni / YS120FZ

Loki QM40 / JETT QM40

Exocet turbine jet / RAM750 (still a speed plane )

Super bandit turbine jet / AMT280SP (this thing is going to be nuts, 32lbs thrust, YEAH BABY)

Loki isn't done yet, Bandit isn't started but will be soon.

Don't really think there's anything else I want to add.

Just wish the whiplash would sell!

Default RE: What's in YOUR Speed-Plane stable, and what do you want to ADD to it?

do you want a list of what I have in line to build, or the ones I have time to build ?? [&:]

Brief list of quick stuff.... (i will omit the aerobatic and scale stuff for the most part)

Airworthy
Sidewinder QM40 jettQM40
Hurricane Q-500 jettQJ40 (2 identical, use to be 3 until 3 weeks ago)
Blackjack Q-500 jettSS40 (soon to be retired/sold)
Initiator Q-500 ST-29 (scat-cat looking - cow colorscheme - retired from racing - its still pretty quick - its the 'loaner plane')
Patriot ARF jettSJ-50 (getting a little worn out - need to build a new one)
P-51 Mustang jettSJ-46 (top out over 100 mph - but i dare not fly it there for long - VQ ARF kit)
Ultrasport ASP61- hatori 650 pipe (very quick actually - may have to put the 90L in there for some kicks)
Snapper ASP12 - control line combat looking thing - sorta fast...its fun at least - 15 yeas old now.

Awaiting restoration
MK Aurora 60 YS60RE (pattern aircraft from 1987... almost airworthy again)

Kits started or awaiting build (hopefully this winter)
DC F-20 SJ-50 will be installed
GP F-4E BSE-90L will be installed
AK SU-27 probably that same BSE-90L
Pacemaker Mk II Q-500 (finalizing development and prototypes)
Vector 500 (finalizing development and prototypes) ThunderTiger .40 pro 424 engine for power.
Royal B-25 (twin BSE-40L engines - but this is a serious back-burner project)

Development projects
(too many)

focusing on second prototype configuration of the pusher prop "dart" first. Looks sorta like a king cat..... built the prototype in 1993

also have an Extra 300S QM40 design in work, and a sport jet - prop jet looking beast - likely replacment for the Patriot.

unfortunately, some of these new birds may have to wait till I assemble the skyshark Christian Eagle I received last week And even that is waiting till I get the Extream Flight Yak in the air... at least thats almost done.

Oh...almost forgot.... took my 4 year old girl shopping..... "we" have 3 rockets to build too

Add to this the wife and I are expecting another little bundle of diapers in March......... i have pleanty to keep me busy

Iroquois Boy,

How is that DC F-20 with the Jett 50? I have that kit, and that is the engine I am looking at. I thought I'd try the BSE. Did you do retracts (if so, which ones)?

Thanks,

Robert

I have a MRC models Voodoo Racer, it has a Saito 91 with a 12x8 apc. It ran 120 on radar this past weekend. I will be trying other props. If anyone has suggestions on what prop please let me know.

Thanks Jody

Very nice plane. I have had mine about 4 years. One of the better propjets around along with the Patriot. I run that Jett 50 and a 9/7 apc. I also use basic hobbico mechanicals. There cheap but effective. Spring airs would be nice also.

WM Dago Red - YS 45 probably going to strip it this winter and paint the fuselage.
Jerry Smith Outlaw - Webra 36
DD - Rossi 40
Cermark F-20 - Haven't picked out an engine for it.....I do have a Webra 1.20 though

Plus various and sundry pattern and sport planes

Almost forgot. I had put a Magnum 25 with a pipe on a Zagi with a CF spar....that was fun for a few months.

Petec- You have the Cermark F-20 60 size? Airgar has one with a Jett-90 in it and it hauls.... Just a tad faster than mine with the Tower-75

you are doing ok for yourself there..... nice aircraft, and pleanty of power up front.

I've done a bit too much work testing the 3D/scale engines that most of the speed planes started collecting dust!
