A prop jet similar in style to the BVM Bobcat! Thats what we need. Anybody want to second that?

Maybe I could bash up an F-20?

Cyclic,

Why don't you get a Bobcat, and bolt a big Super Tigre or something into the back of it...?

Don't tell Bob Violett about your intentions though...

I actually have drawings I started for something like that years ago. It was an elaborate, pusher version of a plane called the Snapper that I helped out on (15 size/electric c/l combat looking thing).

The big version sorta had a P-38 look, semi swept wings, pusher engine to get the CG right. Pleanty of room for retracts and stuff. Never made it much past the CAD screen but it was kinda nice looking. People I discussed it with didnt much want to fool around with the pusher engines.

Yeah...that looks a lot like what I had in mind for mine originally...... closer to a bobcat...

Any info on plans / kit for it ? I didnt see any info in the thread.

I tried emailing the guy, but he did not respond. I believe he is trying to go commercial with it.

I might have to dig out the finished plans for my pusher and build it. Mine is more of a bullet shape, engine is cowled in a bit. Its set up to be 40-50 powered.... mainly a one-piece wing assembly.

The biggest hassles with this (and from what I can see on those photos) is the pusher configuration and exhaust system are often difficult/ugly to pull off.

go on!! Someone build one. I agree with Razor (for once) that a bandit propjet would be sweet. But anything that looks like the big expensive jets that can have a prop on it must be good. Hence my accumulation of prop-jets.
Am building my second patriot, and cosmetically modding it to look like a bandit.
