delta wing that don't roll straight
I've had several delta wing planes, some roll seemingly perfect on it's roll axis, and some don't. What I mean is that they roll more like a cork screw. Feeding in some down elevator will flaten out the roll but will cause it to arch to the ground faster. I'm not sure if I'm explaining it right, but if I am you surely know what I'm talking about. Could this be a tail heavy condition? I was always told that a nose heavy delta won't turn well, or maybe not at all. My newest delta is a scratch build and I'm not 100% sure I have the balance right, even with some help from RCU members.

It's "barrel rolling"....try this trick Joe Bridi taught me....it's for pattern planes,
but it should help on anything that's barrel rolling....
....on the aileron that is going "down" when you give the aileron command,
reduce the throw on the down side to about 80% of full deflection. This is
done easily with a computer radio...but it can be done with mechanical
linkage. You will have to play around till you get the right % for your plane. [sm=thumbup.gif]

I built 2 almost identical 1/2A deltas. One rolls perfectly, the other barrel rolls. The perfect roller has a heavier engine, and more speed. Take your pick about whether it is speed or CG related, maybe a little of both. My barrel roller could use some differential throw to iron out the problem. The DIAMOND DUST rolls like a drill bit and doesn't need any control gimmicks.
