As a response to your question on the Holy Smoke. A company named Four-Pi sells the exact same plane under the name of Skyfire. I have just recently built two of them.

You have to build a crutch over the plans from 2 stock pieces that are provided with the Kit. Both are long piece's that you have to cut up, One is beveled on the trailing edge of the Delta. and the other is a flat piece for the the leading edge, and the go inbetween the rib's. You pin the crutch down and start from there anything else just give me a yell. MAC

Daniel,
I have an original manual. Holy Smoke was my favorite airplane of the nineties. I can scan it and convert it to Acrobat, then you could easily print it. Would that suffice?

Not photos, but diagrams. I have photos of mine, but I modified mine by putting two two-thirds sized rudders on it. That allowed for a RIRE motor with a tuned pipe down the center.

Daniel, I hope you have a wide band internet connection, it is 47MB. Here it is [link=http://www.piercemanifolds.com/HolySmoke.pdf]Holy Smoke[/link]
Let me know how you make out. If you wish I will send photos of both of my models, single rudder and twin rudders.

Dodgeman,
Did you successfully download the manual? If so then I will remove it from the server.

Ailerons: 3/8" up/down
Elevator: 3/4" up/down

I only have the manual and it says to refer to the plans to locate the CG. One store is selling a reproduction. You might call them at 937-256-7727 and ask about the CG. The URL for their kit is [link=http://radicalrc.secure-mall.com/shop/index.php?keywords=holy+smoke&match_criteria=all&shop=1&cart=259932]RadicalRC[/link]

Good luck. That was my favorite airplane of all time. It has been replaced by a Whiplash which is so fast that I'm still not running the throttle wide open on the Jett 50.

Top Flite has manuals for most of their models. Even the obsolete ones.

I still have my plans, I will dig them out this weekend and post it. Most Deltas are 25% MAC anyways I believe. Mine is almost to gentle of a flyer , after you get it into the air ! I always forget that it is not one of my "gun it and go" planes and if I just gun it on take-off it torque rolls 2 or 3 times to the left as it just breaks ground ! LOL ! I fly mine with a Webra speed .40 as more of a fun fly plane since i has such a thick draggy airfoil compared to a DD or whiplash. Have fun !
