To much prop bubba! Go to an 11/7 apc. I've had several of the WM P-51's and build them for friends. Mine has a Saito 100. I have built a couple for friends with the 61fx and 11/7. Performs great here at 5000ft. Possible 11/8 too. Actually go with the 11/8 since your way down their and try that. Would be even better at lower altitude

Looks like a Master Airscrew prop on it. Get rid of it.

11x7 seems a bit low. I run that on my .46

I would try maybe a 11x8 or 11x9 or maybe even higher pitch being that it is a .60 I dont have that same engine so I really cant say exactly. But by the size of that engine I would try those. But with the smaller diameter it will take a little longer to get into air.

To get more speed you need more pitch. But the more pitch the more load on engine. So when you add pitch you need to go down in diameter to keep rpm's up.

Small prop high pitch is more speed. But has less thrust so it will take longer to get into the air. But once in air it will go faster. Alot of times people say for example this bigger prop pulls harder so it should go faster. Try not to determine the speed of a prop by how hard it pulls in your hand when holding it. It is weird but the smaller prop will go faster up tp a point. You need to make sure your prop is big enough to pull the plane so there is a limit to how small you can go to where smaller prop acts againts you.

Larger props lower pitch have more thrust-pulling power. But in air they top out pretty fast and dont have the top end.

Finding speed can be a pain sometimes and you may have to buy a few different props till you find that right one. Hopefully someone with that same engine will chime in and have better numbers for you to try out. Maybe they can get you into a good ballpark to start experiementing with. But in mean time give ons of those props I mentioned a shot and see how it goes. You should be going faster.

11x7 or 11x8 should be about right...

Yeah I did use a 11x7 APC on my Sukhoi with OS.46 FX. Why? Does 11x7 sound a bit high for the .46?. What do you run on your .46's? I even tried a 12x6 before and it worked also. Just depends what type of plane and what your looking to do. It is not by all means a speed set up but for the type of flying I did it worked perfect.

It did work good but I wanted more so I snatched out the .46 and put a .77 turning a 14x6. To much fun now

Oh I dunno I use 11x5, 12x4 or 12.25x3.75 for funflies, and 10x6, 9x7 etc. for sport> and speed

I ran an 11x7 on my Rossi-60, and the last guy I trained had an OS-65LA running a 12x6

Hey Snoop Dogg, just wondering how fast is your plane with that Saito 100? I have a MRC Voodoo with a 91 Saito and a 12x8 APC and it went 120mph on radar. Going to try a 12x10 soon as the weather gets better.

Thanks Jody

I agree, 11x7 sounds a bit much for a .46. I run either a 11x5, 11.5x4,10x6 or 10x7 at most.

For the 61 try a 11x7 or 11x8 both APC.

Thats probably about the best it will go.

About 95mph, but this is very good considering the altitude/DA an all. Were at 5000ft here and on any given late spring /summer or fall day can be up around 8000ft DA. I am sure this combination down around the coast would be awesome. We take about a 17% hit on Pwer, speed and rpms here not to include the DA which makes it worse.
