Default YS 60 Pump troubleshooting

I need advice on how to troubleshoot YS 60 pump that does not build up any amount of pressure. I could not detect any air leak but difficult to do because of all the fuel channels in the pump/carb housing.[:-]

I would check the "one way(check)" valve. If this is installed backwards, or it not working properly, will cause no pressure in the system. To do so.... simply blow through each end of the valve. One end of the valve should not let any air through. If it flows air through both ends of the valve, repair or replace.

The end that blocks the air should be pointed twards the tank on the return/pressure line. If the fuel system is all up to snuff, one way valve works and is installed properly..... and still does not build any pressure. It is time to rebuild the regulator on the bottom of the main case.

Just a thought: set the regulator adj. screw flush with the housing.

Load a syringe up with fuel and try to force feed fuel through the pump while dead cranking the engine with the plug removed. I have tried this trick on other pumped engines with good results.
