california guys - best thoughts with you
hey folks.....
some of the stuff they have shown on TV about the rain in California -- amazing... if not downright scary.
Just wanted to pass along some possitive thoughts to my buds in those areas. Stay safe.

Thanks Bob. We've received (as of last night) just under 17" of rain since Dec. 27th. The most rain fall recorded since 1877. I'm sick of it. It has allowed me to spend more time in the hobby room, however!
Our "dry" lake bed (where we fly) probably won't be dry until April, and that's if it doesn't rain any more. [X(]
Floats are not even an option there, as they (BLM) close the whole area down to insure the integrity of the lake bed. That's good though, as the 4 wheelers would just tear it up.
Oh well, back to the hobby room.....
Gary

I understand what 17" is about. When Francis came thru we got 19" in one night and I live in the mountains of North Carollina! A good 8 hours from where the hurricane hit.
Hang in there guys.

I see I've got 2 very close neighbors in this thread (I'm in Fontana). Yes, it is a LOT of rain for here. Maybe we will get twice as much this year as usual, but compared to other places it is not that much. Most of California is brown, many states are green. Where we are is dessert except that people use underground water to grow all kinds of wonderful things. It has never rained here like this before and I believe it will continue through the years as we humans change the earth. I will like it better here with the free water to grow fruit and vegetables with. Water is great for life and I am glad we are getting more of it.
