Magnum?
My Magnum showed up today... look's like a straight forward build and a quick one at that! a few things like tank height and glue joints need to be addressed but that's common on all ARF's... I do have one question I hope someone can help me with... the fire wall seems to have 3 to 5 degree's of down thrust(eyeballed not measured)... I kinda expected it to be closer to zero and if it indeed needs that much down I'm going to need to fix the nose ring so the spinner/nose ring gap does not look like a 2 year old put it together sooo does this plane need that much or any Down thrust?? I hope none is needed... it will be so much easier to shim out the down than fix the nose ring.

RE: Magnum?
I don't think it has that much down thrust, unless they changed something on the "R"...
Dig out your incedence meter, and measure to be sure.
My old version Magnum needed some down trim when at speed, I don't think that would have been the case with the engine at -5 degrees.

RE: Magnum?
Thanks Rudeboy,
mine is the Magnum not MagnumR. With out using a meter the prop look's like it has 3 to 5 degrees of down... however the nose ring has very little angle built in so that made me wonder if it's needed it at all... I'll measure it when I finish mounting the motor and shim out the down thrust at the motor mount so the spinner gap look's right... I think I'll still have some down... maybe 1 or 2 degrees. I can alway's add some more down thrust and fix the nose ring to match IF I find the plane needs it.
Thanks
John
