Whiplash needs a prop!!
Anyone got a OS 46 FX on a Whiplash dialed in. I am going to be running the mac's pretuned pipe on it. Has anyone figured out what is the best prop for this combo??
Thanks
Craig

We race planes with the O.S. .46fx and I would suggest an APC 9 1/2" x 7.5 N (Single Narrow) prop.
These seem to be very consistant runners on this engine, with good overall speed.

Unfortunately, most of the local hobby stores don't sell these props, but you can buy them online direct from APC.
http://www.apcprop.com/
Not the best prices, but their available.

OS .46 Whiplash prop
HI Craig,
We have one guy here in Lafayette with a os.46 with over a hundred flights on his Whiplash. He's using an APC 9-7 prop turning over 16K on 15% nitro. The 146MPH reading on our website is from his Whiplash. You could run an 8-8 for a better top end, but with a little less RPM and acceleration. Good luck and enjoy!

8x8
Has anyone tried this 8x8 on the os 46fx? Should turn higher rpm than the 9x7. Even if it turns the same it will get close to 170 mph. If you can get 170 out of this engine i think it is the best engine you can get for the money.
