Patriot discontinued?
I've seen various rumors that the Patriot was being discontinued. This year's Tower catalog didn't have it. It wasn't shown in the page of GP kits you get when you click on the link on Tower's main page. Well, it looks like the rumors were true. In the .40-.50 size kit category at Tower, the Patriot is listed as discontinued. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXJ586&P=0
What a pity, this plane has been so popular. [] I was even thinking of building one, but now they're gone. Sure is a good thing I happened to order a couple a few weeks ago.

I have a patriot and its my favorite speed plane. Its the fastest one I got! I mean that sucker ZOOMs with a webra 50 on it! Maybe they will replace it with something faster, better?

RE: Patriot discontinued?
my guess is they are going to re-engineer it a bit, and it will re-emerge as an ARF -
With any luck any new version will be a "kit-built" wood ARF instead of the half plastic one like I have
Fortunately Juno R/C has the rights to make the Direct Connection F-20 kit, so those should be available soon. Always a good alternate.

RE: Patriot discontinued?
Now that's a shame...I should've picked one up when they had them. []
I hope bob is right about the patriot coming back as an ARF. I think we would see more of them around since it seems more people are flying more and building less. Heck, I was surprised that they released the patriot XL as a kit and not an ARF....

I hope the re-engineer and still release it as a kit. I left off the fake intakes on mine and would hate to be stuck with them on an ARF. This is a speed plane not a scale model.
