Okay, so you're running a 1.08 OS. That's more motor than Cermark specified for that ship. Be careful. Did you beef up the Motor mounts? Nothing you can really do to strengthen the airframe.

I set the engine down then traced it's footprint. I then cut out the mount and dropped the engine down were the prop would be in the correct center. Then I built new mount's under the original. I've been flying this bird for a few years with out a problem. Nice Plane wish I could find another. More's law applies!!

It sure has been quiet on this post lately. I have hundreds of flights on mine and it was starting to look it, I striped all the covering on tail and wings and recovered with new gray ultra coat and some minor repairs on the fuselage at the wheel openings .I'm putting new retracts to get rid of the play in them. This plane was all ways my favorite prop plane to fly.I will post some pictures when I'm done. Then I'll start on my other one in the box which is a version #2.

I’m pulling mine out of retirement for spring 2021. Needs a new battery. Got some advice from Bob at Jett on getting the engine ready. In the meantime, I got a turbine waiver this summer so have been flying a Ripmax Xcalibur which has now become discontinued with no parts availability. That thing is a hoot to fly!
what’s up with you guys?

I still have a Cermark F-16P new in the box. Not even unwrapped. It has to be 10 years old. I guess it's the newest version 3 since someone wrote that version 3 has a latch canopy. The manual has a revision date of 4/06, so the CG location is wrong? It should be 7.5 inches aft of the wing root with an empty tank, correct? If this plane/jet does more than 100 mph, wouldn't a 1 inch stab throw be too much at high rate?
If I build it, I will also install gear doors like I did to the Cermark F-18 Hornet I sill have.
With all the new restrictions of the FAA, I might even decide to sell the kit. A limit of 400 ft in altitude would not allow me to fly this thing the way I'd like, or the way an F-16 should fly.

If you are flying at a private site or within 5 miles of an airport, then the 400 foot rule will probably apply... If you are farther out than the 5 miles you should be OK to fly above the 400 feet. There has been some mis-understanding about this... the 400 foot rule does not apply everywhere. I sure would like to get a copy of the manual for that plane.. I have one ready to go but never flown.
