OK next weekend IS a holiday weekend. The wife has made reservations up in Writewood Mountains (only like 15 min away) to go camp and get away for a few days. So heres the deal....Yes I will bring camera, I need to know time of event so I can sneek away for a few hours and leave eveyone at the camp site. Oh and dont worry......this will be ok with my wife as long as her Direct TV is hooked up to the new travel trailer before I leave LOL Keep me posted, I will have batteries charged and tripod ready. This is gonna be good !!!!! T.J. the other Tim

Does anyone think this is actually a contest?? I have a C note on the Jett 50/Patriot combo...any takers? A radar gun would be nice.....

Being Italian, it's tough betting against the Rossi, however, this is NO contest. Sorry Dave. Do you not remember Jame's other Jett powered Patriot? An absolute missile....

I would (if it was ready) put the Rifle/Jett 50 up against Razor, but I may need some re-training after such a long absence. lol

And yes James, that would be for "pink slips".

You guys glad I'm back? Heh heh

Vicman, thanks for the stickers (uh, about a year ago?) Do I owe you money? What going on with the Revver T's? I am totally out of touch right now, so bear with me. BTW, I don't have any boxes handy....lol

Hey bubba, hows it going?. I was going to ask your for one of the rifles but as I recall, the kit cost $5 and the shipping was like $200 straight from the far east.

James,

Sorry to hear your wife was ill. I hope everything is going well and she gets back on her feet again soon.

Haven't been around here much, but I do still think of you "Rever's" now and then.

Shoot me an email Buddy.

I think the other one had a Rossi in it , with a mini-tuned pipe.

Being Irish....I can out-stubborn the Jett....

Gary- I would NOT challenge an "Angel" design in a flat-out speed race, I would challenge you in a roundy-round race with it as I am sure you are purty rusty! Dave and I are all about fun and I am pretty sure it will be a subjective race anyhow--- chasing each around never getting close enough to tell who is faster - Although I don't mind telling you that I will take my 17.2K on the 9x8APC versus Dave's 18.1K on that skinny black-flexi prop.

Cyclic- That EU 1A is an older pattern ship and is bigger than a Magnum- The one Tim has is powered by a Rossi-60 or 65.... 100+ I bet

Tim- I would love to get video but I hardly expect you to come all the way down just for that... Now if you have an airplane that needs to be maidened, I would happily volunteer, if not I will let you fly one of my birds if ya want! You still have the Magic Extra? Hope family is well-

Vic wishes he had his F-20/MVVS-45 combo. here eh? [X(] Even with a straight crank (no offense) I think you'd be hurtin'

Dave I'm glad to hear that your going with a different prop on an engine turning 18+, at this point I'm thinking Dave just might have an edge over the pat, perhaps drag is on par with the pipe hanging down, but with the rpm's and simlar frames I think weight will come into play and though I dont know the spec's I think the f20 would be a bit lighter..but like I said I havent seen the full spec's and I dont know what prop Dave will be running..just take 'em to the limit boys... and beyond ..GOOD LUCK GUYS bring them home safely!!!!

Not to worry, Blue....I was looking for my small props, and I found three new
9-7 Zingers (wood) that should do the business. I have to weigh the F-20,
it is very light. The fake air scoops are a hindrance.

I still have treachery on my side....heh heh.

Haveblue must be smoking from Aussie-Crack (Just kidding-) What do you mean "drag is on par with the Pat."?

My Patriot has NO intakes-
No fat pipe hangin down-
No gear hanging down-

While Daves F-20 Has:
Fat pipe
Thick intakes
Heavy Rossi-
gear hangin down

Notice also Dave is not gonna run the MA prop. which is where he quotes his RPM #'s - He is now moving to a decent 9x7 Zinger (Should get a Rev-Up if you are gonna turn-coat)

WHat figures you gettin' from the Twinky er I mean Zinger?

Hey Razor............I wouldnt miss this for the world. We just moved into the new house and are still un-packing boxes. I think the magic might be handy but mama wont let me take it camping with us LOL I did ask her if it was ok to disapear for a few hours and she said it wouldn't be a problem. Its only like 20 or so min to the lake bed. In fact I can see El Mirage from 8000 foot level over looking the desert from the camp site. If I had binoculars Im sure I would see dave putting a coat of wax on that plane of his getting it ready LOL I will be there at 6:45 am saturday with camera, and tripod. Thanks for the offer of the free maidens....Ill pass......if I remember I got video of you landing my trainer and knocking the engine and front gear completly off of it by hitting the BIG ORANGE CONE !!! LOL what a great weekend of camping we had. We will be doing it again real soon I promise. looking forward to seeing everyone that shows up, and if you cant show up I will post pics sunday night. Cant wait

no intakes you say ..hmmm...well then ok drag wouldnt be on par...(Ive gone over my download limit so Ive been slowed down to 20 -28 kbps so I avoid opening pics ) and mind you I havent seen one up close CAUSE I CANT DAMN WELL GET ONE DOWN HERE..even when they were in production there!...but from what Ive seen I get the impression that the Pat is somewhat bulkier frame compared to the F20 ..maybe not.. but I'm still guessing the f20 should be lighter..again not much to compare with down here as our F20's are made by Pheonix and suggested weight is 2600 grams or I think in your lingo about 5.7lb...could go either way...gentlemen..good luck to you both!!

News Flash................... I just want to tell you what kind of guy Razor (James) is......after crashing my trainer. the guy went to the back of his truck and handed me a Greatplanes AT-6 warbird. Used condition but the offer was wonderful. I still have it to this day. I told Razor it was ok......that anyone could have hit the BIG ORANGE CONES right next to the camp site and I really wasnt upset. He told me he was just to tired....( insert drunk where tired is)........ to walk out to the flight line to retrieve my trainer so he decided to land it next to the travel trailer instead.........and the rest is history.
Make El Mirage 3 and you too can be part of the fun
