Thought you all might be interested. The world F3D Pylon champs is starting this week in France. I have been watching one of the Aussie team members, ( Chris Callow& caller Kevin Callow) practicing for the last few months & I know he is going quick.
Best of luck to all the teams over there, but go Aussie go !!

As long as the French don't win I am happy-

Don't you Aussies race the course in the opposite direction because y'all are down under (Like flushing a toilet and the water goes in reverse direction?)

Makes for nasty mid-airs!

Hi mate! Am getting into the old fashioned Goodyear racers that had average wing spans of about 50" that we originally flew in the mid 60's. When I got out of racing in the early 70's we were doing about 125 MPH and I learned they later got to 185 MPH.
What sort of speed are you lads getting?

Now tell me honestly. Do you call North as being up or South as being up? None of the Aussies I know could tell me. Seems like up for you lads would be South. Which is it?

Yeah, well thanks for straightening me out on the up and down situation. Always thought you lads would fall off the planet and don't know what keeps you stuck to the ground.
I hope you guys whip the snips off the French.

But, you never said how fast your bird flies? No, not the bird in a dress but the bird you are flying.

Just received an update from the US team, I've posted them in the General Discussion of the Pylon Universe forums. You can also see them at www.nmpra.org also.

KMOT- Nice post I dig that!

Mopetro@aol.com- You are a crazy pilot, have you joined the Revvers Brotherhood? I formally invite you to join since you are afflicted with the speed bug

I wondered about a DD with a Nelson or FAI type engine... How do you keep the covering on that thing? Seems like a WHiplash would be a better bet-

Cheers all and go USA/UK/AUS!

10 laps each turn takeing 5.5 sec around the pylon, pulling 40-50Gs in each turn.
