Hay Razor: I am tooo far north of you to be aware of this event. What goes, might just pack up the Outback and drive on down, raced bikes a carlsbad a few years ago, guess I could find the site?

Mr Menke- El Mirage is about an hour and a half north of Carlsbad so it may be closer than you think...
I was planning on attending but I was hoping for a bigger turn-out than last time---

I was planning to arrive between 11AM and 1PM....I mean it is Saturday (sleep in time) and it is 2 hours away.

What happened guys? I showed up at 11AM and stayed for an hour and a half and didn't see any flyers. There were plenty of ATVs and motorcycles though (at least 20-30 were on the lake bed). There was even a full-scale plane that was doing touch and gos (with motorcycles chasing him--pretty funny to watch). He would sometimes do low level runs over the lake bed (one of which went right over me head--that was pretty cool).

I ended up going to Rabbit Dry lake.
I was there at 6:30 am to 12:00 pm.
Sorry we couldn't meet up.[&o]
Since there was little interest shown about the gathering and I don't know exactly where they fly at El Mirage (like 50 sq mi of Lake bed) that I just zoomed to my usual hotspot and burned some alcohol and nitro there.
Burned up the sky![sm=thumbup.gif]
Got pictures to share but I haven't found my cable for my camera to the computer yet!
My kid is probably using it to tow his buddy to 7-11!
I'll post as soon as he gets back!

Here's the pics. Sunrise at 6:30, very windy, lots of runway, my son ramming his motorcycle up my tailpipe, part of the family, high speed fly by, one fantastic day.

looks like fun. I better there was nobody else at Rabbit.....El Mirage was totally packed with motorcycles and ATVs....just too many targets!!
