Is that tuned pipe set for such low rpm?

Why not cut down your diameter and let her spin?
Max 61 FX Zinger 11 x 7 10mp 13,100 14,600 3.5"
OS Max 61 FSR Zinger 11 X 7 10mp 13,700 14,500 3.75"
OS Max 61 SF Zinger 12 X 8 10mp 10,600 11,250 6"
OS Max 61 SF-P Zinger 12 X 8 10mp 10,600 11,650 5"

The Mac's site no longer specs the .61RF motor, but it was 11,400 with the 12-8,
mine was right on the money....look how long the head pipe is. That's all it was
designed to turn, it's a long stroke pattern motor.

I just remembered....that's the fourth engine in that same plane. [X(]
I did have an APC on the RF....what a sick dog. [] (a 12-7)

SportsPro is the model that I have and I see now that the price is 829. Gone up a little since I bought mine. Definately worth it if you are a speed junkie, and it sounds like you guys are. Later

FD

Truly appreciate you posting a pic of the shop. I printed a copy, took it to the local Kinkos, they made me a 24" X 24". Now when the boss grips about my shop condition, I just close the door and stick the pic on it. Good for two days.

Carlos G.

Please do not missunderstand my question, no offence is intended in any manner. Seems you are stick with the time-distance thing? Are you by chanch a engineer or math major. I have a structural engineerilng background, so I do understand the thought processes. Remember, 99.9% of the people in the world like things the easy way. Taks a litttle (very) work to to the T & D math. Pilots should relate well. ENJOY

Hi Speedys,

i use the Bushnell Velocity, got it on ebay for 80 bucks .
it is working ok in the range of 100 to150 mph .
the only problem is you need a brave buddy with a helmet ,because the best result is in front of the target and 20-40 feet away.
for me it is a good cheep device to messure the speed and in combination with my garmin etracks GPS to double check the messurements it is the stuff what we need.

That was a really cool event. Takes serious courage to point an overpowered turbine model straight down at full throttle. Not sure about gps accuracy for a max speed reading in a power dive, however. My Jett 90 ship recorded a max gps speed of 288 mph in a power dive, and I'd bet a large sum of money, maybe ten bucks, that it was a serious glitch. My GPS seems to be OK doing level race track laps - 161 mph max speed gps reading seemed about right at the time it was recorded. I'm using cheap consumer Garmin stuff - no doubt serious GPS hardware would be more reliable and accurate.

yes the garmin gps is not 100%
on my garmin e tracks the first pass with my hacker slinger did show 177 mph and i was happy after the first pass, but the next 5 passes show 120 to 122 mph and the reality is 122 mph, i checked this also later with the bushnell gun and it was 122 mph.

i love the high screaming sound of a high revving brushless power setup
