Default OS 46 VF ABC-P, Is this any good?

I just picked up a like new OS 46 VF ABC-P engine. The model is discontinued so I don't have any info on the engine. How does this engine compare to the newer OS 46 VX-DF and other hot engines? I'm thinking of building a DD for it. I have a 9x8 APC, what would be a good pipe length with a 40 size Mac's pipe?

Default 46VF ABC..

These are damn fine engines IMHO. , but not DF engines..I've not used the pumped version, but I have run 40 & 46 VF ABC engines for years, they are excellent. I have non-pumped 46VF's in the Duellist turning 9X8 APC at ~17.4K. Sweet running mills. Get the 7.5 cc pipe...I'm running 10.5" to the first high point.
