Default servos

I was looking at jr8411 servos for whiplash elevons. I saw where they have high failure rate in extreme usage applications like helicopters. Is this an issue for these small high vibration, high stress extreme speed planes. Should i go with the 8311 replacement if i use jr?

Default Servos

I have never had a failure on a 8411 servo in anything I have flown them in. Of all the 8411's I have had, probably over a hundred now, I have had only to replace the gears as they wear from extreme use on my 40% A/C. Never a complete failure of the servo EVER!!! My Whiplash runs 8411's on the elevons with no problems.

Default JR DS8411 & DS8411SA servos

JLong and IMACBuff:

JR/Horizon Hobbies have admitted a high failure rate of the DS8411 and DS8411SA servos in helicopter use. If you send these servos to Horizon they will be updated to DS8311 specification at no cost. Refer to Model Aviation, January 2003, page 116, "Radio Control Helicopters."

Just got the mag yesterday, hope this helps.

Twins with JR servos, kinda' makes me nervos. (Sory 'bout that!)
