Default Electric Me-163

hey,

I have an all fiberglass model of a me-163 with speed 300 engine and a jeti controller,
how fast will this thing go??? I have read that speeds of at least 100mph are acheivable
with this basic setup.

If thats the case then im not going to try and fly the beast.

The first one is of the Swiss Air Force practicing (showing off) in the alps:

The second one is of some Mirage pilots showing how low and fast they can fly:

The third one is of a 747 taking off right at the cameraman:

The fourth is of a 747 landing at the famous Saint Marteens airport:

mhh been there done that... Actually a good one is Brian Taylor's Me163, quite scale.
There is another one (slightly bigger) on MAN (ref. fsp11761). I have both, it's the only way to make up your mind on wich one you want to build.
There are others. Do a search here, you're going to find other options.

hmm decisions decisions, but i think im going to build a U-2 spyplane first i dont know how yet.
When it comes round to the ME-163 i will be hoping to have it as a turbine model because ducted fan options are just as expensive as buying a complete turbine system.

And you can't go with a DF setup on a Me163, no air intake, and you don't want a big cheater hole under the belly [:'(]

I don't think a full DF setup is more expensive than a turbine one, unless you fly a lot !!!!

someone is rocket mad! i dont care about cheater holes, well depends how big its guna be! few months ago i figured out that the twin ducted fan engines (2) + fans from bvm cost as much as a turbine because the model i was going to build was one big momma.

nice plans i might buy some and keep em for later.

This is my Me 163 with a rocket engine. It´s great to see this plane starting with rocket power!!! After the great rocket start you can fly with a speed 400 electric engine made by Graupner. We are a german model airplane club. You can see the video on www.mfc-osnabrueck.com. on the left handside click on "Elektroflieger". The right picture shows the original Me163 in a museum in Berlin.

I think it could be 80mph after 2 sec! It is climbing to 300feet with the rocket engine. After this you can fly with a normal Speed400 electric engine.

Update your web site, I don't use bull ***** software [sm=angry.gif]. I'm amazed at some webmaster's stupidity sometimes ! Oh and for those Bill supporters, bear in mind FireFox has a 30% marketshare.
