Magnum first sighting
Just saw a magnum fly for the first time ever- Holy ___! It's a rare occurence at our club to see anything that's really "fast" and I have never seen anything that quick. It was a ragged magnum that had been patched up after kissing the ground several times being dragged by a .46 AX on a tuned pipe with fuel delivery problems. If you held your mouth right it might run, but wow. When it did it was screaming fast.

RE: Magnum first sighting
Yea, they do scoot with any decent motor. They land on their belly skid ala the shrike and other go fast, no landing gear types. Our strip is very old asphalt with ripple cracks that just kill any chance of a clean landing without damage. We see a shrike type on occasion, they usually live for about 3 landings and then go into the trash. Others may not make it from their first attempt to hand launch in a untrilmmed condition. New ARF version of the shrike may be interestilng as they show landing gear. A little larger version with enough wing to carry retracts would be great. ENJOY Bro# 119
