Default Magnum w/ West 50v1 vibration

Does anyone out there have these symtoms. The motor runs perfect throughout the entire range. Idles very smooth, 3/4 throttle to full open very smooth. But in the mid range I have mild to moderate engine vibration. The APC 9x6 prop is balanced, spinner is balanced as best as I can get it. All engine mounts are tight. Is this fairly normal. Please help! I don't want to fly it if something is wrong. It is brand new.

Copied from the last sentence of the 1st paragraph of the instructions included in the engine box. {The motor will only work from 16,000 rpm upwards.}

You have a Magnum, idle and midrange does not exist...

I thought that statement was only if you were trying to use a standard muffler. Obviously you have this motor. Do you have the symtoms that I'm referring to.

Thanks for any info.

To quote the sentence before the first one I gave you: {This motor will not run happily on a muffler and this should not be attempted.}

Honestly I cannot say how mine is running at midrange, never tried to run in there, nor do I care to. This is not a sport engine. Its a high performing, high revving one, meaning that it will only run right at full throttle.

Like Crazy4flight stated. Always fly it wide open.
