There's a good plan for such a f117 on rcm web site. I bought it recently. Buy it, as long as their plans service is still up and running [:@]...

What is the best engine configuration to avoid damaging the lines ? I would say a FIRE engine would be best with engine mounted 90 deg from vertical... what do you guys think ?

I'd prefer to go with OS 50 2 stroke engine, i am sure OS 50 will be more then enough engine for this jet, I am not looking to build this jet from scratch but get one already built....

I have been looking at that kit also, does it look like retracts would be a tough install or is it actually set up for them. Keep us posted on the construction, the 60LX should be a true test of the airframe.

I am sure its designed for retracts, i missed one deal of similar jet short time ago and now i am looking for one, well how about Rossi 60, i think that will crank its speed real good...

It looks pretty much like the real thing but it can't be perfect with a prop on it, but then again I like flying planes that are different than what twenty other people in the club have.

I think that this one with retracts will draw crowds. Much more than a stunning Mustang...

Here's a few pictures of the F-117A I built several years ago. I started out with RCM plans, blew them up to 48" ws, added mechanical retracts and made a few other mods to make it look more scale. The plane is quite light for its size, flies very stable and is pretty fast with an OS 61 FX for power.

I should probably sell it since I hardly ever fly it after getting into turbines, but I'm attached to it because it was my first scratch built plane.

Very nice looking bird, I think the inverted engine is the only way to go for a cleaner look.

Holy crap Joe, this thing looks super nice [8D][8D] !
What are the mods you've made to make it look sooo scale ? I still did not review my plans carefully ...
I am surprised to know it flies so well ! Very good [sm=thumbup.gif]
A full length tuned pipe with a FIRE engine would make it even more scale btw... mmmhhh.. I have to have one
Basically, why did you enlarge it ?
