Default modified ripmax rapier

this is my first post and im a 18 year old male from northants in england. have been flying for about 7 years now. have flown at some shows around the country and get a good vibe which im happy about.

any i have modified my Ripmax Rapier (favourte model airplane of all time) as i have started designin a double size one which will be powered by a 120 super tigre engine

i currently have made the original rapier lighter and fitted a .51 super tigre engine. heres a video of todays test flight, let me know what you think

i'm a bit of a newbie and too am playing with the idea of a delta, do you have any plans for the original sized rapier, it looks like a brilliant base to design from.

Heres a modified rapier for you.
I originally bought it to mount my brauner pulse jet on but common sense prevailed

I had an LA 40 in it just to fly but it didnt do much for me so I pepped it up a bit :-)

I'm thinking of upgrading the engines to LA46's (same weight, 20% more power)

Ive upgraded the engines. Its now got a pair of S.C. 52's !

I'm waiting for a break in the weather to test it.

Not sure how its going to behave as the cg is some 30-40 mm back from where it should be (I dont want to add any more weight)

The 2 X SC52 rapier flew a treat and awesomely fast. I had to resort to some lead up front to bring the balance back because it became very unstable on the approach.

Getting the engines synch'ed is a bit tricky so I may go for separate servos, one up front instead of the lead.

With the drumming of the airframe, slightly off synchronized motors and a whistle (I presume from the rear exhaust pointing forwards) it sounds like a RR merlin engine.

Launching hasnt yet been a problem but i'm mindful to drop my arm as I release it (like throwing a javelin). My fellow flyers seem to think I get very close to the prop at the back but so far no cuts up the length of my arm.
