Default world model midget mustang pics

i was going through my pics and i came across these. these were taken two years ago. we spent most of the day racing these in close quarters. the yellow and red one has a os91fx. yellow and blue has a jett 90, and the all yellow has a ys120 stuffed in it. the fastest one by far had the jett engine, and was ran at 3/4 throttle so the other two could keep up. thought these were cool pics and i would share. enjoy.

corrrection on the all yellow one. It only had a ys91 in it.

ken

added the pics of the pilots . speed51 is on the left and i am on the far right(buddude8)

just for clarity, those are world models MMs ?

I wish I could get more folks in my area to have some fun like that

Looks like the jett muffler install was not a big issue.

the muffler on the jett engine required an extention. I was on vacation at my brothers house and brought the engine with me to install in the midget. since it was a last minute install we bought a os91 extension and modified it to fit the jett. Also note the wire landing gear where moved from the wings to just in front of the wing. this made landing on grass a breeze.

Thanks,

I figured it needed another .25" or so ..... pretty much the same as the P-51 installations.

I love my Midget Mustang but the landing gear is the weakest part of this plane. I like what you've done with yours. Is that a one piece aluminum gear?

I rebuilt mine about 2 years ago and installed basic aluminum gear. Its mounted to the front of the wing. Had to cut some of it out and install hard wood for the gear to attach too. BTW, that is an OS 1.08 "stuffed" in the front end

It's good to see an engine like the 1.08 FSR in plane like this... what sort of rpm are you getting with that engine.. I'm curious because I read every thread I come across about this engine

I'm still trying to figure out what to do with the one I have sitting around.....

I don't remember. have not flown it since last spring. When you get a few planes. Its hard to get to some of them. But power is not a problem.

very nice work cyclic. the 108 looks nice in that plane. I had that engine in a sig cap and it had loads of power.

Thanks, You may be following the Phoenix F-20 here too. Its darn bnear a clone of the DC unlike the Cermark. The Phoenix looks real good and construction looks good too. My issue though is too much wing which I will take care of. But the plane is new and we're all trying to figure it out but it looks promising
