I was bored so I decided to up load pic's of my Patriot
I was a little bored tonight so I took some pic's with the camera phone of my "Canadian" Patriot. It has as some of you can probably tell, spring airs (can't remember which ones), separate aileron servos, an extra hatch along the bottom of the plane for easy access to necessary items, and did not build the fake inlets, yellow dyed canopy and an MVVS .49 with 10x8 prop with quiet tuned pipe. This is Number #3 Patriot for me and she flies great, not blazing fast but fast enough for me and quiet enough that the "old" guys don't get too Pi$$ed off.
Yep like a good Canadian boy you can see my hockey bag in the background of a couple of picks (please no comments about the Leafs)

Hi,
Nice looking plane, I am just in the process of covering mine, I have a .47 GWS with a tuned pipe for mine. Spring retracts........how fast do you think they go?

10Acious1 - I have no idea how fast it goes but it is fast enough and more importantly smooth enough to make me look like a better flyer than I really am.
Bob - yep that is an MVVS up front a .49
vicman - I left the scoops off for a little more speed and for ease of covering. I used the Rite Dye and Hot water method of tinting the canopy. All it takes is yellow and orange Rite dye mixed in the laundry room sink with hot water and you dip the canopy in the mixture and then you have a tinted canopy the longer you leave it in the mixture the darker the tint. I use the whole laundry room sing and one package of yellow and one package of orange dye (I think i got it at Walmart) , if you do a search I am sure you will get a better explanation of how it is done.

Plane looks great, I really like the chrome. I just got my patriot finished sanded and ready for paint last night, its gonna be black on top and white on the bottom with white tail. I'll try to get some pics as soon as its done. Mine has a super tigre .75 that has been worked and really screams. You can also dye APC props the same way with the Rit dye if you choose to do so, interesting to mess with and it'll turn heads.

The Leafs should change the team name. Leafs are supposed to die and flutter harmlessly to the ground in the fall, not in the spring!!

looks great! now for a nice day or two to turn a few hot laps
I don't think I could have taken another year w/o hockey [:@] support your team.
Oh as for the "old" guys it would be fun to put a DB meter on the big old warbird with a G62 and pits muffler. Most of them blow over most noise limits.
The oldguys at my old club hated my MVVS powered pylon plane (mini tuned pipe) tuned 1 DB below the limit. Whe they got the meter out well I kept it out, and every time they flew BUSTED on their own rules.
