Default Bottom Color of Whiplash?

I have been looking at the pics of the airbrushed whiplashes on the AeroJet website, but cannot find a picture of the bottom.

So is the airbrushing only on the top and the bottom left white?

I am contemplating getting one of these but still doing the research.

Default Paint scheme

Mav,

Diamond Dusts and Whiplashes are tiny little airplanes and hard to see, especially when zipping around at 150+.

The best thing I ever did was cover the top of my Dust with florescent orange Ultracoat. The bottom is white with 3 wide black "invasion stripes" going from the leading to the trailing edge. I just used pieces of MonoKote trim sheet, one down the middle and two centered between that and the wing tips.

This is the highest visibility scheme you can possibly do. The black and white bottom scheme is fantastic, I absolutely know which end is up at all times.

If you are going with an airbrushed Whiplash (mine is florescent orange Rustoleum on top, no surprise there!) I would strongly urge consideration of the black and white bottom scheme, you will really be glad you did.

My Whiplash is just about done. Will have some pix when I get back into town in about a week.

Check out Star Wars thread. White on top and black on bottom. Great contrast but still at 150+ anything is hard to see. I noticed at noon this was still hard to see. Later in the evening No Problem! Speed is cool! Heh heh.

I have seen the Star Wars pics. What I really want to know is what is the color/design of the bottom of the airbrushed 'flames' version?

Also if I was to buy the all white version, can I use Ultracote to put stripes etc. on it? Will this stick to the painted surface? Or do I need to paint it?

Dont apply heat to the whiplash. You will damage the surface.
Use the sticky back trim tape or stick ultra coat.

I bought the CanAm scheme since I live in NY and a lot of Canadian pilots come down to local airshows, so I thought it'd be neat to have both flags flying high. It's painted on top only, and bottom of mine was left white. I believe it is to save weight, hence the one sided painting... not to mention orientation problems of a 200mph blur with color on both sides
