Weston Magnum review in Model Airplane News Magazine
Today there was a guy at the field with a Feb 2003 Model Airplane News Magazine that has a Weston Magnum review and they only made 124 MPH with a 9x7 
Today I try a 9x7 geting 19,000 RPM with 10% nitro and the Magnum was not very fast.

Isaac,
The Mg looks really good with the flame graphics, mine is about 12 months old and ready for a re-cover soon, howcdid you make the flame graphics or are they already on the kit???
Mine is just the yello and black kevlar effect!!

Weston Magnum review in Model Airplane News Magazine
The Flames are do it with 3M Contac Vinyl Paper.
I have to decorate it with the flames because the black carbon Fiber cover pill off.
I try to decorate it first with Monokote but the Monokote does not stick to the yellow cover of the Magnum.

Weston Magnum review in Model Airplane News Magazine
My LHS owner just got one. He just finished mounting a Jett 60 in it. That should pull it around pretty good huh?

I'll say this....A beautiful plane..I recieved a sales flyer a while back and the main sale was the Weston Magnum..It was $120 for just the plane..Seems like a real bargain for that price..What ya' think....Walt

A 9x7 prop at 19000RPM has a theoretical maximum speed of 107.95MPH
Unloaded in a dive up to around 20K RPM ~114MPH, your speed may vary.
The formula for figuring the maximum speed a given pitch can travel is: ((PITCH*RPM)*60)/63360 with 63360 being the number of inches in a mile.
Of course, this is with an aerodynamically "clean" airframe and the correct diameter prop to provide thrust for the application.
Hope this helps instead of confusing.
BTW, that 9x7 needs to turn 21500RPM or so to get to 124MPH. If you *really* want to get to 200, you need to spin an 11" pitch prop at ~21500 RPM. I just don't know of a light enough, strong enough and not too much $$$$$$ engine that can do it.
