Default What do you do to the bent & broken one's ?

Hey Guys,

Fly boy Dave had a picture of some "ornaments" he has on a shelf, which gave me this idea. So what do you do with those left over pieces that have splattered all over the ground?

Tony.

Both kills from 1999

Other bent or broken planes I have passed on to freinds just getting into the hobby. They needed work to fly again, but for free, I can do their trim in flight and not worry about wrecking it! [sm=bananahead.gif]

Dave:

Why do I recognize the one on the left as a dago red? Mine is still flying with a Webra 90 pulling it around, but probably soon to be dead. Friend gave it to me less engine, so I have a lot of fun abuseing it, inverted passes with snap at the end etc. ENJOY

Yes, it's my first Dago Red (World Models) I put it straight in after I got
caught in a "Dust devil" ( a miniature tornado) and lost it.

Then the planes were on back order, and I had to wait several months
to get another one.

[]When I was a kid back in the 60s my dad and brother also flew (single channel and reeds back then). We would surgically remove the stab (cause that was usually the largest remaining piece) and write a little story on them with felt pen about how they crashed and the date. Then we would staple them to the ceiling of the garage for all to see and read.[&o]
It helped take the sting out of the event for us kids.
