Kangke F-20

My Feedback: (21)
Kangke .40 F-20 ARF....
....is a great little prop-jet, especially if you don't
have time to build. It appears to be the same as the
old Cermark .40 size that has been discontinued for
2-3 years now. I have one, and it is a hoot to fly, and
it's fast.
Granted....the Patriot is sleeker, but it's a kit. And the
Direct Connections F-20 ARC is a little better looking,
but it's only $20. cheaper, and must be covered. The
good points for the Kangke F-20 is it's simplicity, and
it's smooth flying with "no bad habits", and good speed.
It doesn't have retracts, so you can start out with the
weight savings of two servos, and three retract units ,
and a large battery. Mine is a straight 4-channel rig,
with a Std. battery. Also you don't have three holes
cut in the underside of the plane for the retracts which
cause drag. By using the 2.25 inch "skinny" Williams
Bros. wheels drag is kept to the very minimum, and all
the "retract hastle" is eliminated.
I am using a long-pipe Rossi .45...it SCREAMS at 18K
on the ground, 20K plus unloaded, on the pipe in flight.
It runs on 5 % nitro, simple to tune, and I haven't
touched the plug all year, still runs the plug it came
with. The engine cost is about $170 with the long
tuned pipe...a reasonable price for a proven fast and
reliable Italian engine.
Granted....the Jetts, and the Nelsons are faster. But on
the other hand....they are a little higher strung, and
cost alot more.
So the bottom line is if you wan't to get into prop-jets
the quick and simple way...the little .40 ARF is a good
way to go. And BTW....if you do get one....be sure to
re-glue the verticle stab on real good, they come loose.
Here'a pic of mine....
