Default First flight V-Mar F-4

Well I just completed the first flight on my F-4.The plane came out at 11 lbs.It has spring air retracts and robart struts. It is powered by a Jett 90 lx.The motor fired up first spin, and after the first tank it was idling perfect. It is spinning an11-7 at 15,700.I lowered it down to 14,700 for the first flight and wow.The plane flew great,it was a real windy here today and it handled it ok.The take off was good as was the landing. After hearing all bad about V-Mar I dont know why.The arf went together well.

my vmar f4 flys great, its a good solid plane. my f5 will get its first flight this weekend, weather permitting, then the mig will go, and after that the a4 skyhawk will get its turn..
my vmar planes are just as good as my h9 and my other planes...

got the vmar f5 tiger in the air yesterday for the first time..
I only got one flight though!! My st g90 got a little over heated because of the prop,,i was running a 12x6 and it should have been a 12x8,(my mistake)..should have looked closer!!!and it was a new engine,,not alot of runin time at all..
The f5 flew great just as easy as the phantom, i took off on grass, used all the runway and lifted off smooth,, coming into land with the flaps down was simple,,just as easy as landing my h9 alpha 60,, and that is no joke,, they do need a little speed in the turns but they dont tend to drop there nose in the turns... First flight for my mig and the a4 skyhawk is coming up...

Hi Have you flown the A4 yet I know its slightly off topic but I am about to build mine and was interested in any issues changes made etc
I have witnessed both the phantom and the mig fly and whilst the general feel was quality could be better they both flew well.

Why would a lighter load prop cause it to overheat? Are you sure it's the prop?

You're excused.. you were drunk with excitement after your first flight, then reality reared it's ugly head again. Like it does in our house every morning when the alarm goes off.

funflyerf4, jetdeck here, your plane is awesome, just ordered one will be here on oct 4 2012 been questioning about engines, what is the difference in jett engineerings 91sl as opposed to the o.s.91 witch by the way dont see any place to get one went to o.s. website saw all there engines but not the 91. now , i guess they replaced it with the 95, i saw jetts offering but wow!!!!! he wants $450.00 for the 91slx. does he modify the engines to give more power than the stock motors, i dont want my plane to fly like a dog,how does he justify his prices, are they better, could you give exact info on your size engine what size props your using , fuel %ed 10 15. what muffler, have you had any issues, done any mods while assembling? what size servos did you use, retracts, i know its alot but i want success with this bird. thanks funflyerf4 for info will be in touch.
