i havea viper that im building and have two spare engines laying here. which should i put in. i have a os 50sx and a rossi53. which one would be better suited for this plane. the os has a macks tuned pipe. whic one do you think will make the viper faster? the rossi is used and the os is fairly new but has been in a crash but its totally cleaned and ready for action

well I'll get in while I can..I figure most speed freaks would say go the rossi and probably rightly so for max performance , but I have a 50sx fitted to my f20 and the engine is a goer..I just love that sucker, it just wants to rev up high and does it very smoothly!!!...but I know I'll get ignorned by most , since we're deep in Jett territory were max rpm is the only answer!!!!

cheers

I think either engine would be so close that it really wouldn't matter.

I agree....I'd go with the OS, and maybe save the 53 Rossi for a .45 size
Mustang or something.

FBD.

Power wise its pretty much a toss-up.....

Probably not worth while running a full size pipe though. But thats a personal choice.

Id lean toward the OS50 as well.

If I recall, the Rossi 53 is a bit heavier (not much), and nose weight on the Viper is something to avoid.
