Magnum with Nelson, OK?
I'm finished mounting a Q500 Nelson engine in a Magnum ARF. Because I only have the backplane mount version, I was forced to do another firewall. After some work, it's done.
I will be flying it in a week or so (business trip), but I was wondering if anybody have already mounted one of these engines in a Magnum. Mostly thinking if the wing is strong enough to handle the Nelson.
Anyone?
Thanks,
Edgar

Edgar,
I whacked a tree with my 1st Magnum (remember to use high rates when you slow it down) and the wing proved to be very strong. It is everything else I would worry about if your engine turns much more than 22k. Linkage must have zero slop, control surface alignment should be dead on, top line servos, reinforce stab, etc, etc..
