Default A LITTLE POLL OF THE BROTHERHOOD PLEASE!

One of our newer bretheren ( Rev Bro #137) has decided that it's time to own a man's plane.[sm=thumbup.gif] (about time!)
He has finally outgrown his Dragon Lady![:'(][:'(][:'(][:'(][:'(]
I must ask of the "Hood" which .40 size propjet should he purchase? Patriot, F-20 etc...
I am asking on his behalf on which plane would be best for him.
He is a capable pilot now and needs to learn how to fly something fast.
Please chime in and don't hold back!
Also if anyone has one of these planes for sale he would be interested in purchasing it from you!
WHAT SAY YOU!
Thanks, Rev Bro #118

I hearby cast the first vote for the F-20....

....YEAH BABY !!!

BTW....we need a quick overnight flying gig/camp out/party at either El Mirage
or Rabbit before it get too darned hot. I vote for Rabbit, because El Mirage is
getting like a zoo, and there is no frequency control. [X(]

LET'S DO IT, BROTHERS !!!

F-20's rule.

I'll second the F20..best of both worlds...can get some reasonable speed, looks good and can slow down for an easy landing

How much experience does your friend have? What is he flying now? Other than the Dragon Lady?

Need more info.

Guys:

Lets get him in the right F20. Did one, a Krangke F20, stuffed Jett 90, expected zoom, and got put put. Gear must come up for a decent speed. Krangke F20 is just to draggy to scoot, so would vote this one down on that basis. Granted, it was a decent flyer and landed as a good sports model. I did save the wing and stuck the fuse in the attic where all dead things go. Maby next winter will retract the wing and build a home brew fuse around the wing. Gotta get something worth wile for the $200 bucks.

Would also consider the Matney Zoomer with the 15% sports wing, but is a not a arf and lot of work. Mine with the 12% race/fast wing is filnished and ready to maden with a jett 50. Naturally, its is raining cats and dogs. No question it will be fast, getting it down in one piece may be a problem.

I have no idea where Rabbit is, will do a search. Doubt if the wife will let me out of the cage anyway. Now its "Not going to unleach a crazy 71 year old man on some one not expectilng him. Probably will be racing dirt bikes again with no hospital within miles. Maby if you increase your insureance" Ahhh, the circle of life. REVER BRO 119

Rabbit Dry Lake is about 20 miles east of Victorville, Cal....
(off Interstate 15) on Hwy 18. If you can get to Victorville, it's
about a half hour drive east from there.

It's a smaller place....the frequency control is right there at the flight line,
not spread over a 20 mile area. I'll take my frequency control pins.

Hey guys! Here I am, the guy with the Dragon Lady!! [:'(][:'(] Yes, I try to fly as fast as you speedsters, but this plane just isn't cutting it for me anymore!! I'm really tired of being passed by Speed Junkie like I'm flying an .049 glider!!!! [:@] I'm ready to make my move into a real plane! So far it sounds like you think I should get an F20! Where is the best place to get one. If you are selling one, I have the $$$ to buy and I will be at Rabbit (sadly I will still be flying my red, white, and blue Dragon Lady), but I will bring money if you guys bring a fast plane for me to buy!!! So bring it if you want to sell it June 2nd!! Thanks for the input guys!!

Consequently I have still my gutted Cermark F-20 (60 sized) available for VERY cheap... Actually a better entry level speed plane than the smaller F-20 (It is a bit slower) and I do have a Tower-75 that is a drop-in fit for it....

Any other dates available?

Crap
