Nice addition to the family

Did you have Dub ship it with the turbo, or did you bolt it on ?

(makes a real nice scale powerplant configured like that - quite too)

BTW... anyone here ever get to see the real "baby" of the family first hand ?
(not for sale or production, was part of a goverment contract/study about 8 years ago)

Chrasharama,
I am thinking of building another SIG Wonder or Shrike...
have to check what kits I have in the workshop.

Bob27s,

Picked this on off that auction site with the muffler.

Saw that on the website some time ago is all - it's about an .03 isn't it? How did it do performance-wise? Micro UAV destined I presume, so I imagine mileage and tractability were important concerns. Did you make itty-bitty tuned pipes/mufflers for it?

Even if it was for production, I would have to think the price tag might be a bit of a deterrent...

I think only one of them ran (at the customer). Dub never ran his. Yes, it was an .035 engine. Had a tuned pipe and everything. Really sweet.

Project never went anywhere (except up in weight/cost/complexity) so the engine got lost in the shuffle.

Dub refers to it as the worlds smallest ducted-fan engine.
