Kmot- That is a slippery topic. In my opinion you have to insist that they go but explain in great detail the crazy RC debauchery (SP?) that happens so that she will NOT WANT TO GO!
I have done a few of these and I tell my wife, "I am going flying at El Mirage, you wanna go", she quickly reels saying, "take your dad he loves it" which he does...
Basically, you know how you feel when you get dragged to a shower, tupper-ware party, candle making crap etc. you need her to dread the event like you do those-
Keep us posted!
As a side note I love my wife very much and she knows what a Jett-50 is and everything but, unless I had a big motorhome for her to cook in all day, it is a mans affair-

HAH! I do the same thing with mine bro! Take the ol man he will have a great time. I bet he may even be a little more treacherous than the other hairy old guy.
If you guys have 1/2 the fun we have at our CC 1/2A events here in NC (which FBD missed[:@]) All will be satisfied.

My dad is 81 and he loves RC- He flies his little electrics EVERY day and he thinks the Revver guys are great!
Here is what my dad will be flying at this event- (Old timer Free Flight model, modified with an OS-26 Surpass 4 stroker, top speed about 22 mph, flies 40 minutes on 6 oz)

Victorville, Ca is on Interstate 15.
Go east on Hwy 18, or Bear Valley Road out of Victorville, Ca.
Those roads intersect at Deadman Point.
Go to the right a few miles past High Road.
It's on the left. Keep an eye peeled.
You will see the cars about 1/2 mile off the road.

It must be "GO SLOW" and turn right and whom ever is the last one still awake is the winner![sm=sleeping.gif]
If that's the case I already have my 24 pack of RED BULL in the camper!
I doubt there will be a clear winner in this category because all of our entries will have blown away over the hill if the winds exceed 5.687 miles an hour![X(]
