I was fortunate to get a second hand Whip but the fins were damaged during shipping, do any of you folks have a set of fins since ACM is not producing this anymore?

I repaired the originals but do not have total faith in them at high speeds, and they are now ugly- [X(]

I don't know who is liable to have a set just lying around, since they were shipped one set per airframe, unless someone stepped on their wing before assembly..

For all the time it would take, I'd build up a new set, and unlike on the set I received I would put the grain span wise in the center section.. and, also unlike my set, I would try to eliminate the warps in the fins while you're at it. Then I'd glass the whole affair from tip to tip, i.e. outside left tip across the center section to the outside of the right tip in one piece. Repeat for inner side. Should be fine - rocket fins that fly at several hundred mph are not made any more robustly than that.

I agree that it would be easiest to make your own. The originals would be as scarce as hens teeth. They are no more than glass covered balsa.
