West 50V1 fuel?
What fuel are you guys using for you West 50V1. I can't get Weston's Pro Synth 2000 in the USA. Also, it never made much sense to me why 100% synthetic would be used in such a high RPM running motor. I thought a little bit of Castor helped with leaner, hotter runs.

RE: West 50V1 fuel?
I got a West Eurotech 50 V1
I use home mixed fuel with 10% nitro, 18% Powersynth oil and the rest are mehanol buyed from a speedwayclub.
It´s no problem of running the engine at high RPM:s with 100% syntetic if the oil is thick enough.
Maybe my english is not very good when it comes to "proffessional" stuff but I hope you will understand the most of it...

10 to 20% nitro. Oil can be synthetic if it is good quality and not too thick. My West didn't go well on Aerosave because the oil is just too viscous, even at temperature, and that produces a lot of drag in the engine. I went back to castor after that, and the engine performed much better.

Running mine on Coolpower 15%. Had two new bearing sets in its life (it's 4 years old now, one of the first ones made) but other than that it's all original and still runs great.
