Looks like one of ACM's military conversions of their Whiplash. Humm, I wonder if it involves government research grants?

Hmmmm, I wanna strap a Jett 60LX on that bad boy and radar it.

Which do you think is faster with a Jett 60LX: Dust or Whiplash? (the Whip weighs 1-2 pounds more)

I have a 60LX waiting for the new whip. the DD will be a little faster due to its less weight. less lift needed to stay in level flight so less drag is created.

the DD is fragile compared to the Whip here weight = strength

Razor,

Most of the DD wing is at 7/16 of an inch, down the longnitudal centerline (at the highest point) it's around 1.75 inches high.

Hi Crazy4Flight,

How is the Vette doing? I got a ride in a new C6 ZO6 (fast, but didn't push me back into my seat as much as I expected).

I was reading one of Bob27's posts and he mentioned that the only verified (with radar, although we know that multipath interference with the spinning prop could throw off measurements) sport plane exceeding 200 MPH (207 MPH I believe) was a Whiplash (not a Diamond Dust).

I'm starting to think that the higher wing loading actually increases speed (as evidenced by the increase in speed on my Magnum, when I put a small video camera on it).

More evidence to support this is when Slowmo777 mentioned that the limiting factor in the FAI and/or German Speed Cup was that the wing loading was capped at a maximum value (this indicates that increasing wing loading increases speed).
