Default Painted my Kangke F3D

Couldn't leave it that god awful red and white so I spent a few hours today and painted it up. I'll put some numbers or something on it with vinyl, but the paint turned out alright I think :P

My camera really sucks, the colors don't show up well, I'll take some pics outside once the clear is cured up.

Jeremy: My god! Thats just outstanding!. Wish you had not done that, now when I go into the Hanger and look at mine----------------. Do you have any secrets of gitting this bird back on the round without getting a rough landing. Mine won't stand many more!

I can honestly say I've never had a rough landing with this bird, never a bounce, no nose overs, never any issues!

Although, considering I've never flown it that makes it pretty easy to have that record LOL!!!!!!! I think I'm going to put a swept back gear on it, get the wheels more under the leading edge of the wing. I've heard she's a bouncy girl (which isn't always a bad thing LOL) So I'll put a swept back gear on it and see how it works out.

Tell me it took longer than that... please.

LOL, sorry bud, started it at 1pm, finished it by 5pm. Would have saved about 2.5 hours if I hadn't done the stupid checkers on the bottom :P

The base clear systems are great, the paint is dry 5 minutes after you spray. The clear takes 24 hours to cure, but it's fast to get color on

If you've ever considered moving to southern Ontario, the house next door to me is for sale, newly renovated and right next door to a quaint but top-notch country restaurant/pub, and has a great heated workshop out back. Then, see, maybe we could work out a deal - you paint my airplanes and I'll mow your lawn? Huh, huh?

For those of you who haven't seen Jeremy's website, [link=http://www.lgmguitars.com/splash_guitars.html]LGM Guitars[/link] , you should take a look. Be sure to cover your keyboard, the drool will do nasty things to it.

I can see why you have a guard dog looking after that plane.

E-Dave, I understand you have this plane?

Did you fly it or send it off to Smithsonian?

Yup, I own this beauty. Unfortunately, United Plane Smashers managed to do some damage when they used the box for a walkboard.
Here's a [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_3963245/anchors_3963245/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#3963245]thread[/link] on what happened.

With flying season in full swing, plus a lot of OT at work, I haven't had time to do the repair. Soon, I hope. It's getting a TT 46 with Jett Stream muffler BTW.

I have two more speed planes coming from Jeremy too. Nice having a friend with talent like that.
