Nice, but I have trouble stopping now without the ball bearing wheels.

...I chucked these cheap plastic pylon "wheel discs" in favor of some
rubber tire Willaims Bro's Vintage wheels....

....about five bucks.

Ball bearing wheels might be OK for going fast on the runway.

I wonder why everyone is focusing on the ball bearings? I was thinking the super slim shape was the selling point. Gotta admit though, the WB's look like a good compromise between fat wheels and pizza wheels!

Jett has them available on the web site.

With the standard pizza-cutter wheels, on occation one might end up with one wheel not roll free properly. A cross wind, or side-load on the regular bushing type wheels, will cause them to bind a bit. The plane will turn or vere off to the side. This mainly is a problem on take-off, and mainly with the QM40 planes. Definately creates a new crease in your BVDs.

The regular pizza-cutter wheels are still around. Ive managed to keep them straight up to this point. But Mike Helsel did a great job developing these wheels to get the bearing and the wheel compound just right.

I bought 5 sets and will be using them on my new Q40's. The ball bearings make for smoother, straighter takeoffs, primarily on a hard surface. Also, they are flat on one side which helps clean up some of the dirty air in the area between the older pizza cutter wheels and the flat landing gear.

Very nice wheels, Mike has done a good job.

They look nice, I may try some when my Prathers wear out, I may put a drag shute on my planes anyhow.
