Yeah, getting 250 km/h is possible.... nobody I know of flying a model at 250mph with a prop bolted on the front

Part of the airplane is doing 250 and exceeding that figure.

The prop.

yeah i often wonder if some posters aren't somehow confusing prop RPM and MPH. L Duck's 210mph diamond dust just puts mine to pure shame, even with the Jett 60LX i can only get 160ish, but it does tach an APC 8.8x9 @ 21K which does have a two, a one and a zero in it

now i did not mean to ruffle any fethers but all i was saying if you want a high turning rpm engine then something along the lines of a nelson Q 40, they turn some impressive numbers. i just got done finishing a diamond dust for a friend its got a webra .32 on it. and the next pic is of a juno rc f-20 tiger shark.

The guys doing 200mph plus need to fine tune just a little. Since they are so close to the WORLD record prop plane of 213.7mph.

Just for clarification, when I said I was getting 210 out of a bone stock diamond dust with a worn out .32, I was very much tongue-in-cheek. I am well aware that 210 is unreal, and I would venture to estimate the speeds of said aircraft to be AT LEAST 90 MPH slower than the meant-to-be humerous 210.
