This should be interesting.
Well What speeds have people come up with on the pusher prop planes?
Pusher planes that have a gas piston engine.

I doubt if you will see much past 130. The limited prop sizes that are out there, no pylon race props made in pusher. And then speed will be limited to the drag of the air frame.
If you really want to make a pusher prop plane go fast buy a counter rotating crankshaft for your engine if available. For $25.00 over the cost of a standard crankshaft (the last time I checked) Jett Engineering made them for their engines.
To really make the Bobcat 50 go fast you will have to add retracts and a Wren Super Sport 44 or a Jetcat P-60

Is there any reason why a pusher plane with a correctly designed propeller should be any slower. I had a feeling that tthis could be a more efficient layout.
At Reno you occasionally see this layout and they seem to perform OK.
