Default what engine ?

just currently got my first prop jet. and i got engines laying around and was wondering which one would be the faster of the two.

1st engine: Magnum XLS 46 [link]http://hobbypeople.net/gallery/210756.asp[/link]
2nd engine: SK 50 Engine .50
specs:

8.5 disp.
23.64mm Bore
19.6 stroke
1.5-16500 output ( H.P/r.p.m)
2500-12000 practical r.p.m
recommended prop 11x6

sorry its a dumb question i know. but i dont know nothing about the motors. just fly em.. buddy does all the work
both engines are stock and the plane is a used S.A f-20 tigershark.

Use the Magnum 46

Prop with a 9x7 or a regular 10x6 prop to start with.

If you enjoy the combination and want a bit more speed, buy a jett-stream or ultra-thrust muffler and bolt it to the engine - instant 1000 rpm boost (+) - no hassles, just bolt it on and go. Keep the same prop sizes.

The SK engines i am aware of have shown a tendency not to run well at higher rpms (which is why they suggest the bigger prop)

....Welcome to RCU....[sm=thumbup.gif]

The Magnum .46 should be much faster than the SK in the F-20.

I am a big fan of Jettstream and UT mufflers but price wise you might just get a Tower muffler $14- and get 600+ RPMS. Not as good as the Other 2 but more affordable.

From what I understand the SK is a bit torquey so another vote for the Mag.
