RE: Speed Freaks Wanted
I am ashamed I haven't looked into this thread before but I am glad to see Airbike representing the E-freaks.
However, I am not ashamed that I have been beating air particles into submission for quite some time now. It has been a long journey and a fun one at that. My main interests have been anything racing for about 13 years. Started off with slope racing and eventually got into pylon. I tried out for the US Team for F5D in 1995 and went to Czech Republic for the World Champs. The planes started off respectively fast (135mph or so) and made leaps and bounds over the past decade to nipping at the heels of the F3D times and speeds with on course speeds up to 185mph. Lately myself and some buddies are working on some bigger and badder machines to see what limits we can push with our equipment. A few weeks ago I test flew an electrified F3D powered with lipos that radared at 205mph on it's fourth flight (yellow with red and white by poolside, not mine). On the burners is my own Q40 project (the Miss Ashlee glass fuse below) which will hopefully be flying this summer.
So Brothers, may I request Revver #151 in om-age to 151 proof Rum which separates the men from the boys!!??
Here's a glimpse into my hangar over some time, unfortunately not all of my planes made it to photos.

Hey Troy, welcome! I follow the posts at RCG for High Powered Electric stuff and your stuff is definitely HIGH POWERED. Someday I'll make it to the magical 200 mph mark.
I met The Tick last summer at the Basin when I first started into speed electrics with my Quick and LR-1. He also really knows how to stuff a tiny fuse full of lipo's.
Maybe I'll see you at San Diego on one of those Saturday pylon practices. I haven't been there yet but will soon.

RE: Speed Freaks Wanted
Hey Razor rest assured The revvers are the coolest guys on the planet,it is not over something said or anything to do with any revver.. and thats the truth..even though , it was I that caused some minor friction but I dont think it would be worth a bother as it's been resolved somewhat... it's so minor it's not worth going into further..
I had deactivated my account but had to rejoin to answer some pms...it's kind of strange that the system let me re-activate my log on ,but I cant get into my account to deactivate it again.. I actually tried but I now don't have an account to deactivate...I cannot escape the realms of the 'hood
as for what I got for sale..lol thats funny...does an addict sell his fix?..no he sells his TV/VCR/STERO .. to get another fix
what you got for sale?????..just joking there cause I ran out of money[:-]

Haveblue- I was serious about you being missed--- (and about you selling stuff but hey ) There are some really good people on here and it just seems like you are one of them!
I have caused some friction on here just ask Flyboy Dave, he has saved my arsse a few times- I have done some good to (Pay It forward if you have not already) but at the end of the day, as lame as I may be, I feel a connection with many Revvers and I have even met a few [X(] and I look forward to checking this forum regularly.
Hope all is well!

Hey Razor,
I have to agree with you, I see alot of guys on here as friends, even if I never get the chance to meet you guys.
This is just as much of an addiction as the smell of nitro in the morning.....
Got ask though, were did you disappear to for the last few months??

RE: Speed Freaks Wanted
"Hi, my name is Reno, and I am a Speed Plane Addict/Junkie.
I have been a Lover of Speed Planes all my life,
and with the help of the Revvers Brother-hood I hope to
make my planes even FASTER !!!
My wife is fine with my hobby. She fools herself into thinking it's keeping me out of trouble.
( heh heh heh )
Signed,
Reno (5/28/06)
NMPRA - N41T
I have many planes but I flew the stinger last.
If you would like, I'd be honored to use HaveBlue's #95 reincarnated.
Here is proof of my worthiness. Toying with another plane in 30 mph winds yesterday!

Speed Junkie,
Did you grow up in Whittier as I did? La Serna mean anything?
We gotta go fly sometime! I'll show you my private airfield. Three blocks away and it's hidden from view excpet by helicopter or satellite! Let me know when you want to fly I'll show you my backyard.
#150, you're invited as well. Bring the fast stuff!
Over & out.

Reno,
That would be awesome to hook up and fly at your private site!
As long as I don't have to help mow the grass!
Are you going to make it out to our get together June 10th-11th
Come on. Bring the goods and let's all lie to each other over steak![sm=thumbup.gif]

RE: Speed Freaks Wanted
Hi Ron,
I kind of remember someone telling me about a field like you describe...
Is that the old Industry Hills Sheraton in the background of the second pic?
It would be very cool to fly some electric stuff at your little secret spot. I have a somewhat flexible schedule, and can meet up with you and Speed Junkie
Re: Revver get together June 10,11...sorry, but I will be flying 3D at the TeamFlyingCirkus fly-in down in San Diego (Chula Vista).
