Here ya go Razor!

I am going to talk to my vinyl lettering guy, Race 101, and see if he can cut a bunch of these out and a bunch of numbers so we can just use the basic "shell" and put our individual numbers in the middle. I think about a 6" decal might be practical. He cuts alot of the sponsor decals and banners for the USRA race teams.

Hey Dave,

Sorry, I just assumed you would be Revver Brother #1. I don't know how that happened, but here is the right graphic for you.

Hey Dave - and all Brothers of the "Rev"

Happy New Year!

Here ya go!...
....Cool, I like the logo. Sorry to hear about your mishap in the Finals this year. I was there last
year, and even got an invitation in the mail....but my friend backed out on the trip at the last
minute, and I didn't want to go by myself for two days....not fun. I want to go next year for sure.
Maybe we can get a few So. Cal and Arizona revvers to make it....it's at Parker Ariz., Guys.

There is a nice Casino resort right up the street.

Happy New Year, everyone !!

Hay TEAMERICA, let us know how you make out at vinyl guy. I run a Vinyl business called Extreme Graphics. I could make this up for you or anyone that would like them. The cost would be $2.00 +shipping I can also do t-shirts depending on size and color for around $5-10

Dave, If you had showed up at Parker alone or with someone, I can pretty well guarantee that it would have not been boreing.

Many of the race teams travel from across the country and cannot afford to foot the bill for "helpers" to come along. So they only bring the essential members and they usually have a plane to fly themselves. This all means that they are doubling up with Flying, Calling and even just being the person that walks the airplane out to the runway and releases it. This person has to "Be There" on time for the start of the race and if you have your own airplane in the next race, etc, you are pretty busy getting you airplane ready and helping out another racer. This compounds when you have more than one class to fly yourself. And when the plane lands, you need someone (hopefully the helper) to retrieve the aircraft while you gather your stuff from the flight position (helmet, Tx case, starter, primer, etc) and meet the girl to put your signature on the results ticket. Of course there is a round of "glad handing" with the other pilots while the adrenaline is disipating.

I took Three (3) airplanes to race but only raced Two after my team mate had an accident that prevented him from staying and racing. My caller was also the owner of the Biplane and his girlfriend was our "Launcher". They were pretty much captive and helped out with racing both classes. Eric maintained the Pitts while I maintained the Unlimited. This takes time anytime you have to remove the cowl to check for loose bolts or cracks. Someone has to keep track of the progress of the race program so that we are on the "Ready line" when we are supposed to be. And we need to be Fueled and Charged before each race. We also need to secure our pits while we are out racing. We are typically gone from the pitts for 30-45 minutes for a race. A couple times we flew back to back races because the Unlimited Class is the last class in the round and the Biplanes were sometimes the first class of the following round. So while the Unlimited airplane was being retrieved, the Biplane was up on the starting line. This can get really hectic if you have to share your frequency. Fortunately, I "Owned" my channel for the entire race since all my planes were on the same Channel.

Anyway, what I am saying, is that you and any other Revver Brother is more than welcome in TEAMERICA 's pits if only to plant your lawn chair. But I got a feeling you will get asked to get in on the action and up and close and personel with the racing. You only need to sign a liability waiver to get a wrist band that will allow you to help out on the flight line. Although we practice every move we make so that there is no stumbling out on the starting line, you can learn quickly.
Then next year you will probably have your own race plane. That is how it seems to work.

Since you asked, my Team Mate, Race 101, is planning to come down from Beaver, UT for the AMA show and he is bringing his Kelly F1D to practice at Rabbit Friday morning (1-12-06). I will take out my GR-7 also and we will meet about 8:00am and finish up by Noon and head down to the Ontario Convention Center from there. I know it is a weekday but I am available (read: laid off) and he doesn't Preach to the flock til Sunday so Friday is the day. We may even get Eric to bring out the "Parker Pitts" for a little hot lapping too.

Race 101 IS my Vinyl Guy and he is working on the logos as we speak. One way or another we will get them and I will post the info. T-shirts are another story. Are you talking T-shirts that will have different RB#s on them? That would be waaaaaaay cool. My design is purposefully simple for Vinyl cutting. I know you can get much more wild with silk screen.

"Hi, my name is William Crane aka MrClean, and I am a Speed Plane Addict.
I have been a Lover of Speed Planes for Quite a few years,
and with the help of the Revvers Brother-hood I hope to
make my planes even FASTER !!!
My speed dreams started off back in 1978 with a 1/2A powered Hummer which thanks to pouring over my parents picture albums, I recently found a picture of. Was it fast? Seemed like it at the time. But face it, it's little more than a flying Mosquito and my half a ships didn't go fast until I bought a Norvel and then they did get too small too quick.
In the mid 80's I started flying Control Line and found two of my favorite events to be Big Goodyear racing and Scale Race. I couldn't afford to go faster and while still not fast, the racing environment sure helped the illusion.
Last year I finally did get some speed going with a couple of SPAD planes. A DDust, which is a smaller ripoff of a Diamond Dust, and a BullDawg which is much the same however without any airfoil and a tad larger. According to the Spectroscope program and my mp3 recorder I've had the DDust up to 131 mph while I've only had the BullDawg recorded at 127mph. But my fastest flights were at Spads Over Texas last year when I put a 9x8 on the GMS 47 powered BullDawg and did nothing but flat, large and fast ovals with little dive over the field. I don't have a recording to base the speed off of, but thanks to a small warp in the wing I can guess that it was over 127 and I wouldn't be surprised if it was upwards of 135-140. At 120 I have a couple of clicks of left trim to fly level. At 127 I have to have 7. At SOT I had full left trim, 19-20 clicks in to fly level. I doubt this is a straight line and probably increases logarithmically. It was however, FAST. Well, at least for me. Seemed even faster when I bounced it off the turf during one of the passes. Skipped a beat on the engine but didn't cause any other problems that couldn't be fixed with a change of underwear.
Is this fast? Not really. I've never put a pipe on a machine and I've never flown one of the Quickee racers with a performance engine like a Nelson or a Jett and I really don't think I have the reflexes for it. But I'm willing to try.

This year I have a new GMS 47, a Tower 75 and one of those Bobcats from Nitro Models. I understand that this probably will only do 90 or so and won't seem as fast being about twice the size of the BullDawg. But I'm in the rebuild of the BullDawg trying to get rid of the warp, and hopefully all will work out and 2007 will be a faster year yet.

I limited the webpages I was visiting to keep from losing my mind. About a month ago I realized that there were a bunch of forums on RCU that I wasn't subscribed too and I was just looking at the ones I was. I generally think of Extreme Speed Prop planes to be the slowest with club racing, 424? And those are generally faster than our combat planes. So I didn't really want to trash up someone elses fun with my blather. Same with the Jets forum. I'm just there thanks to the Bobcat. Generally I can't afford to look in that forum. Beautiful, EXPENSIVE planes.

Well, if 100 mph on a 30 inch bird is fast enough or 80 on a 24 inch bird to be considered fast, maybe I can play without too much degradation of the mediation. Afterall, I am TIME's Man Of the Year!

Hey Revver Brothers!
We have decals!

Revver Brother Nitro Junky has agreed to make us our Wing decals and even T-Shirts!
He can cut the basic decal in vinyl and allow you to customize it with your very own Revver Brotherhood numbers (supplied). Here is what I have come up with.

This is an honor system but here goes:
Standard Revver brother decal in Black oval and Red lettering with:

GREEN numbers for those that are still working on breaking the 100MPH barrier.

Silver (or something similar in Vinyl) numbers for those that have broken the 100MPH barrier.

Gold numbers for those that have broken the 200MPH barrier.

Remember this is an honor system and just for (serious) fun but it is quite a conversation piece don't you think? Wear your Revver Brotherhood logo with pride and show your accomplishments and also your goal to reach the next level.

I have ordered a White T-Shirt with an approximately 10" RB logo on the back (XL of course) with the appropriate colored logo and numbers on the back. I MUST have pockets at my age with the glasses and cell phone now-a-days. So Nitro Junky will come up with some prices and post them here.

Here is my latest design in graphic. Don't expect to get the highlights or shadows (3D effect) in vinyl but they will still look good on your plane or your back.

I was making a few Revver Brothers T shirts a year or so ago, but my friend with the shop and supplies is closed for the winter...that, and he needs to be paid at the time of production. I can't afford to have a bunch of 'em pre-done, so they were done on a one at a time basis, which was a bit of pain, so...this is better [sm=thumbup.gif]

I want one

I was going to ask for a 150 mark till I saw the 3bill request. I feel so small now.[sm=47_47.gif]
Since I did have a witness with the gun last week I do qualify for silver.
If I can do a CC or paypal for the shirts and a sticker pack count me in. I would need a shirt in a child size for 41.5 (my crew chief)
I need to run wavoscope on his rocket car to see what color he would get.

300MPH! WOW!

Ya know I did think about 300 but just figured we'd have time to figure this one out and come up with a color.
Of course PLATNUM comes to mind but that is a little hard to distinguish from silver in vinyl that it just didn't seem worthy.
Then I thought about the "nads" you'd have to have just to do that but that just didn't seem practical to represent on a t-shirt.

Man, if you have done 300MPH then buddy - you own the air! How about cutting the numbers out and just leaving AIR!

No that won't work either.

Maybe a Gold Oval or something. That would be very rare and distinctive.
